The Mount Pleasant Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast will be held in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall from 6:30 to 11 am.  Pancakes and sausage with milk, juice and coffee for a free will donation.  Money raised will support youth in Mount Pleasant.

New London V.F.W. Post 7641 Catfish & Chicken Dinner 5:00-7:00 p.m. Catfish $12.00 Per Person, Chicken $8.00 Per Person, Chicken All White $9.00 Per Person. Dinner Includes: Roll & Choice of 2 Sides. Sides: French Fries, Baked Beans & Coleslaw.

The New London Dollars for Scholars Auction begins at 5 p.m. Money raised will be used to increase the funds available to award in scholarships this year.  The auction is at the Charles Lorber Gymnasium in New London, IA.  Visit their Facebook page “New London, Iowa- Dollars for Scholars” for more information.

The WACO Drama Department presents a trio of plays at 7 pm this evening and again at 1:30 p on Sunday in the school gym in Wayland. Both Junior and Senior High students will perform. Admission is $5.00. Drinks and snacks will be available in the concession stand.

The stoplight at Iris and Washington Street in Mount Pleasant is currently flashing.  It will remain that way thru the weekend until repairs can be made on Monday.
