The Mount Pleasant Vets Hall (VFW) at 300 W. Monroe St. Monthly Veterans Breakfast is from 8:30am – 9:30am. The breakfast is open to the community for a free-will donation.

The Mt. Pleasant Public Library Children’s Discovery Center is open from 10am – 12pm today!  Right next to the MP Public Library, 307 E. Monroe Street, there are things to discover for all.  The Discovery Center is also open on Saturday morning from 10am – 12pm!

Join in the fun at Salem Elementary School Carnival at 412 E. Jackson Street from 5pm – 8pm!  Participate in a live and silent auction along with the Anderson Ranch Minis Petting Zoo, Games, Dunk Tank, Bounce Houses, Food, and Snow Cones!  Admission is free. (Rain Date: May 22)

DMC Regional Waste’s main drop-off location at 1000 West Washington Street in Mount Pleasant is open Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Residents can drop off recyclables and rechargeable batteries during these hours.

The Salem Farmers Market is open from 4:30pm – 7:30pm on the west side of Salem City Park.  The farmers market is open on the first and third Friday of the month through September 18!

Arbor Court, 701 E. Mapleleaf Drive in Mt. Pleasant wraps up Nursing Home Week with a Cookout for residents and employees along with music! Winners of the poetry contest will be announced.
