Birkwood Village of Fort Madison has some fun for National Skilled Nursing Care Week today hosting 80s Glow – a day of big hair and bright lights. Residents will enjoy hot dogs and root beer floats for lunch and afternoon sno-cones, the day also includes skee-ball and jump rope contest. KILJ will be there celebrating today! Tune into 105.5 FM at 2 p.m. to learn more about Birkwood Village of Fort Madison.

DMC Regional Waste will be in Winfield at City Hall on Thursdays from 8:30 to 9:30 AM for mobile recycling services. Residents can bring recyclables and rechargeable batteries for proper disposal. Learn more at dmcwaste.org.

The Mt. Pleasant Moose Lodge is serving delicious tenderloins from 5pm -7pm!  Hamburgers and fries are also on the menu.  Eat at the Moose or carry out!  Enjoy “Taco Tuesday” every Tuesday from 5pm – 7pm at the Moose lodge, too! During the month of May, the Moose will donate a $1.00 from each food item purchased to Jared’s Park at the Henry County Nature Center!
