Bike Van Buren’s 40th Anniversary is this weekend! This is a casual, family-oriented bicycle ride through Van Buren County, Iowa. The routes wind through Van Buren’s historic Villages. Total weekend mileage is roughly 80-150 miles in two days. Although the majority of the route is on sparsely traveled paved county roads, some sections include travel on state highways. Walk-up registrations are welcome. Registration and Check-in are located at Keosauqua City Park, 600 Van Buren Street, Keosauqua, IA 52565. The 73rd annual West Point Sweet Corn Festival continues today with lots of activities including the 5K & 10K run starting at 8am. The carnival will run from 11am – 10pm and arts & crafts in the park starts at 11am. Drag races, Junior water fights, and a corn hole tournament round out the fun along with free sweet corn!
