Absentee/Early voting is taking place in the second floor conference room at the Henry County Court House. Today’s voting hours will be from 9 am to 5 pm.

The Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra is very excited to present Tubby the Tuba and The Toy Symphony featuring Michael Boudewyns of Really Inventive Stuff at 11 a.m. at Ottumwa’s Bridge View Center, 2:00 p.m. at Iowa Wesleyan University Chapel in Mt. Pleasant and 4:30 p.m. at the Capitol Theater in Burlington. The concerts (which are free for all kids) are designed especially for kids and their families, and are about 45 minutes long. Public notice is hereby given that Van Buren County, Iowa, will operate a satellite voting station for the upcoming General Election from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM, in the Milton American Legion Center, 324 N Main St, Milton. Ballot styles will be available for ALL eligible voters of Van Buren County.  Voter registration forms will also be available for new registrations and changes to registrations in Van Buren County.

United Church of Crawfordsville Harvest Supper and Auction. Serving 4:30 to 6:30 pm.  Creamed chicken and biscuits, beef burgers, baked beans, potato salad and chips plus desserts for a free will offering.  The Auction starts at 7 pm.

The Winfield Presbyterian Church is hosting as part of the Winfield Grateful Gathering Events, the Puppets of Praise from Burlington’s First United Methodist Church, at 4:00 p.m.  The group is made up youth from third grade through high school with adult volunteers as well. This is sure to be entertaining for kids of all ages. A freewill offering will be received for the group’s ministry.   A light meal and fellowship will follow the program.
