Saturday, December 3rd, from 8am-11am at Wilson Distribution.,105 N. McCoy, Mount Pleasant music students should pick up their fruit sale orders. THIS IS THE ONLY DATE/TIME FOR STUDENTS TO PICK UP THEIR FRUIT SALE ORDERS, SO PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO DO SO! If students have questions/need more specific directions/map for pickup, they should talk to their band instructor.

This is the final day the Mount Pleasant City Compost site will be open this season.  Hours are 8 am to 5 pm.  The site is located where Yocum Lane meets Hoaglin Drive.

The annual Faith Lutheran Church Cookie Walk will be held from 8 am to noon.  There will be Christmas cookies and more.

West Burlington United Methodist Church Bake Sale from 8 am to noon. The Church is located across the Street from the Firehouse at 308 Broadway Street.

The Mount Pleasant Winter Market is taking place from 9 am to noon at the Mount Pleasant Moose Lodge, 108 N. Saunders Avenue.

The Mount Pleasant Christian School Annual Christmas Market will be held from 9 am to 2 pm.  In addition to 20 vendors there will be a large bake sale. The Knight’s Council will be serving breakfast and lunch and concessions will be available from 8:30 am to 1:30 am.

The Grinch will be at the Mount Pleasant Public Library from 9 am to 10 am. There will be self-guided crafts and activities for the kids.  event details are available on the library’s website and facebook page.

New London Elementary students kindergarten thru 6th grade can come to Clark Elementary from noon to 5 pm to shop for a family member of your choice. Elves will be there to help the kids with their shopping and gift warping.  Adults can enjoy hot chocolate and bake sale while waiting on their little shoppers.

The annual Calvary Baptist Christmas Cantata will be performed at 6:30 pm this evening and Sunday evening.  A dessert reception will be held following each performance.  This is a free event.  The church is located on Mapleleaf Drive in Mount Pleasant.

Spend an evening immersed in the sights and sounds of Christmas with Iowa Wesleyan University. This signature holiday event will feature performances from The Mount Pleasant Chorale, The IW Choir, Primae Voces, SEISO Chamber Orchestra, and more. Admission is free and open to the public. All free-will donations support students in the IW Music Program. Choose from two performance dates: Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4. Doors open at 6:15pm, service-concert begins at 7:00pm.

Mt. Pleasant Community PTA’s 27th Annual Kids’ Christmas Shopping Event from 8am-12pm at the Mount Pleasant Middle School. An annual event put on by the PTA and a host of volunteers, where kids’ get to shop for their family members. Parents get a chance to shop the bake sale too!
