The Mount Pleasant City Compost site is open every Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm and on Wednesday from 1 to 6 pm. The site is located at the intersection of Hoaglin Drive and Yocum Lane.

The flags will be raised on the Henry County Court House lawn at 8 am and retired May 30 at 4 pm weather permitting. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to volunteer in the raising and retiring of the flags.

The Lockridge Veterans Association invites everyone to a Memorial Day Ceremony. Please note this is the correct date. At 8 am here will be coffee, tea,juice and pastries at the Lockridge Community Center.  The program begins at 8:45.

The Mount Pleasant Saturday Farmers Market will be held from 8:30 to 11 am on the south side of Central Park in the Mount Pleasant business district in conjunction with the Farm House Central Vintage Market. The Saturday market will return to Wright Pavilion June 3.

The Mount Pleasant Children’s  Discovery Center is open from 10 am to noon.  The entrance to the Center is on the East side of the Mount Pleasant Public Library Civic Center on East Monroe Street.

The Dover Museum, chapel and depot in New London are open everyone Saturday and Sunday thru October from 1 to 4 pm.

The Henry County Heritage Museum at 403 W. Monroe in Mount Pleasant is open on Saturdays from 1-4 pm.
