Addington Place of Mount Pleasant is having a garage sale from 8 am to 5 pm.  There will be trinkets, home decor, furniture and odds and ends.  All proceeds earned will benefit the Alzheimers Association.

The Mount Pleasant Children’s Discovery Center is open from 10 am to noon. The Center is located on the east side of the Public Library/Civic Center on East Monroe Street.

Join the Mt. Pleasant Kiwanis for gourmet, unlimited pancakes, sausage, coffee, milk, or juice today and tomorrow from 6:30-10:15 at the Greater Iowa Swap Meet & Flea Market under the Wright Family Pavilion at McMillan Park. $7 for adults and kids 5-12 $3.

Mount Pleasant City offices will be closed Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. Garbage collection will be one day later next week
