The Wayland Independence Day Celebration begins at 6:30 am with the Lions Club Breakfast at the Community Center.  The Parade begins at 10:30 am and lunch will be served from 11 am to 1 pm by the WACO basketball teams at the High School.  The Firefighter water games will begin after the parade at about noon and Fireworks are at dusk at the football field.  There will be a special grand opening of the West Park Wetlands from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.

The city of Morning Sun has a packed schedule of events.  Events start with the Legion Pancake Breakfast at 6:30 am.  The 5K Tiger Trot Color Run starts at 7:30.  There’s games and activities throughout the day.  The Mile Long Parade starts at 3 pm.  Evening entertainment starts at 6:30, skydivers at 7 and fireworks kick off at dusk.
