From 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. the public is invited to the Brighton Community Room for a pancake breakfast to help raise funds for the fire department. Items on the menu include pancakes, eggs, whole hog sausage, sausage gravy and biscuits, milk, juice and coffee. A free-will donation is accepted for the meal.

The City of Winfield has Halloween activities today.  There will be a costume contest sponsored by the Winfield Lions Club on Saturday 10/30 at 4pm in the WMU Buildings and Trade parking lot outside. Prizes will be awarded in 4 different categories.  The annual Weiner Roast is at the corner of East Pine and South Locust from 4:30 to 6 pm.  Trick or Treating is from 6 to 8 pm.

The Mount Pleasant Moose Lodge is hosting a fish fry starting at 5 pm. Cost is 8$ a plate. Tim Smith will entertain with live accoustic music starting at 6 pm.

The City of Salem has Trick or Treating from 5 to 7 pm.

There will be Trick or Treating in Danville.  Anyone who wants to offer treats should put their porch light on from 5 to 7:30 pm.

Iowa Wesleyan presents Impact Pro Wrestling.  The public is invited to join the excitement in the Howe Student Activity Center, 200 W. Franklin Street, Mount Pleasant.   Doors open at 6 pm. Bell time 7 pm. Tickets are $10, 10 and under are free. IW and SCC students are free with their i.d.

Come to the Halloween Haunted School tonight and Saturday night Oct 23, Friday night Oct 29 and Saturday night Oct 30 7 pm to 11 pm in the former Bonaparte Iowa elementary school. Spooks, ghosts and goblins.  Guaranteed to scare you!. Admission is $10.

The Mount Pleasant Community Theatre presents Halloween Dreams Reader’s Theater at 7 pm at the Heatilator Center. Free will donations will be accepted. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
