The annual family reunion for the descendants of John and Bertha (Christner) Hill will be held at the Moose Lodge in Mt. Pleasant. Lunch will begin at noon. Please bring a covered dish and table service. Drinks and coffee will be provided.

The annual Kenny Hamberg Memorial Car Show will be held from noon to 4 pm in Farmington at the corner of 2nd and Elm Streets. The car show is just one of the fun events taking place this weekend in Farmington during the Strawberry Festival.

At 2 pm Linda Haight will present a program on World War II at the Winfield Presbyterian Church.  A free will donation will be asked for the Winfield Museum.  Refreshments will be served.

The Burlington Municipal Band’s second summer concert at the Crapo Park bandshell will take place at 7:30 PM.  The concert will be conducted by Edward Stone Middle School band director Janel Horn.  Janel’s concert will feature a variety of musical styles. The family-friendly concert is free of charge.  Bring a lawn chair or a blanket or sit on provided benches.  In the event of rain, the concert will move to the James Madison Educational Center Auditorium at 2132 Madison Avenue.

Monday, June 13, the public is invited to play BINGO at the VFW in Mount Pleasant at 6:30 pm.  The jackpot is still $599. When the $599 jackpot is won they go back to $250 and begin to increase each week by $25 unless someone wins in which we reset back to $250.

The First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant is serving the Community Meal at the Fellowship Cup on the third Wednesday of each month from 11 am to noon.  The cost is $4.  A reservation is required because seating is limited to 25 people.  Please call the Cup to RSVP at 319-385-3242. Any group or organization willing to serve a meal on a different Wednesday of the month is encouraged to call the Fellowship Cup to set that up.
