The Lockridge Fire & Rescue Department is holding a fundraiser breakfast at the Lockridge School from 7 am to 11 am.  For a free will donation you can enjoy biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, scrambled eggs and pancakes.  There will also be antique tractors on display.

The Mount Pleasant city compost site is open from 8 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and 1 to 6 pm on Wednesdays.  The site is located on Yocum Lane behind Saunders Park.

Mount Pleasant Farmer’s Market from 8:30 am to 11 am at McMillan Park under Wright Pavilion.

The Wayland city-wide garage and yard sales continue today.

The Salem City Wide garage are being held today from 8 am to 2 pm.  Maps are not available so watch for the signs.

Henry County Relay for Life Team No One Walks Alone is holding a garage and bake sale at the shelter house in the Salem Park during the Salem City Wide Sales.  Saturday hours are 8 am to 2 pm.  Breakfast and lunch will be available both days. Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

The Farmington Strawberry Festival continues today and Sunday in Farmington, Iowa.  Enjoy free strawberries and ice cream from 2 to 4 pm. There are all kinds of fun activities for the whole family taking place today and Sunday.

Enjoy a bounce house, games, music and food during Family Fun Day in Wapello from 11 am to 2 pm.

Henry County Heritage Trust presents Mount Pleasant’s Barber Houses by Joy Lapp at 2:00 p.m. at the Henry County Heritage Center Museum[old Saunders Elementary School building] 403 West Madison Street – Mount Pleasant. Learn about American architect George F. Barber, his Queen Anne style house designs and his popular mail-order catalog business. This is a free program. Refreshments  will be served. Questions?? VFW Post 7641 in New London will host a WING NIGHT from 5-7 pm. A free will donation will be taken to benefit the New London Tiger Food Pantry. Orders include 4 chicken wings with fries. Several different sauces will be available. Carry-outs may call 319-367-5009.

The Big Creek Tractor Club starts their ride at 7:30 in the Steffes parking lot and will end in Lockridge at the Fire Station with a shin-dig to follow!
