Mt. Pleasant Fire is hosting a soup luncheon on Sunday Oct 9th to kick of Fire Prevention Week. Serving will be from 11:00AM to 2:00 PM. We will be serving chili, cheese potato soup and grilled cheese. Cost is free will donation. Proceeds go towards new portable scene lighting.

Players Workshop at 1431 Grove Street in Burlington presents Mamma Mia! at 2 pm.

The SonShine Academy Preschool in Mount Pleasant is hosting an ice cream social from 5 to 6:30 pm. The menu includes beef burgers, hot dogs, root beer floats, homemade desserts and ice cream.  A free will donation will be asked to support the preschool.  Son Shine Academy is located at 910 Mapleleaf Drive.

Players Workshop holds open auditions for the Gary Ray Stapp comedy/drama Lost (and Found) in IKEA tonight and tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the Workshop, 1431 Grove St., Burlington. Parts are available for 5 men and 5 women, ages 30’s and up. No special requirements are needed to audition.
