Iowa Wesleyan University presents the SEISO Chamber Orchestra and Iowa Wesleyan Vocal Department in a free holiday concert that will include both chamber works and holiday music. The concert is supported by free will offerings and the Clear Creek Heritage Association and takes place in the former St. Peters & Paul church southwest of Keota, Iowa at 2 PM.

Calvary Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant presents the annual Christmas Cantata, “The Glory of Christmas:Celebrating Christ’s Birth, at 6:30 pm. Following there will be dessert served in the church fellowship hall. This is a free community event.

The annual old fashioned Christmas Program at Old Stone Church/Cemetery will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided afterwards. Tracey Burgus will officiate. Old Stone Church/Cemetery is located 1 1/2 miles west of Sinclair Tractor off Highway 61.

All are welcome to attend a community brunch on December 5th from 9:30-1:30 at Twin Lakes Golf & Country Club.

The Twenty~Forty Class of the First United Methodist Church, Mount Pleasant, will hold a Chili Soup/Baked Potato Soup Lunch in the church’s Fellowship Hall.  Serving will begin about 11:30 a.m.  The menu will be soup…relishes…dessert.  It will be a free will donation with proceeds going toward The Fellowship Cup or Toys for Tots for Christmas gifts.
