Argyle Presbyterian Church will host a Taco Dinner this Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., inviting the community to come out and enjoy a delicious meal together. Guests can stop in for tacos and fellowship while supporting the church, making it a great opportunity to connect with others and enjoy a casual afternoon in Argyle.
An Easter Egg Hunt will be held this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the West Point Care Center in West Point. Families are invited to bring the kids out for an afternoon of fun, with plenty of eggs to find and a chance to celebrate the Easter season with the community.
The Bel Canto Chorale will present its Spring Concert on Sunday, March 29th at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in downtown Burlington. The concert will feature a variety of American choral music including early hymns, spirituals, folk songs, and patriotic favorites, with selections such as Simple Gifts, Shenandoah, and America the Beautiful. Tickets are available at the door. Admission is $8 for adults, and students of all ages are free. The first 100 attendees will receive a commemorative patriotic keychain.
Join national speaker and author Ben Greene in Mount Pleasant on Sunday, March 29 at 1:30 p.m. at The Belle Center. This free event is open to the public and geared toward adults and teens. Greene will discuss building understanding, connection, and support for transgender and gender-diverse youth and their families. Hosted by PFLAG Mount Pleasant.
The Egg Hunt in the Prairie will take place this Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Lee County Conservation Center. Families are invited to enjoy an afternoon outdoors as kids search for eggs in a natural prairie setting, offering a fun and unique way to celebrate the Easter season while exploring the beauty of the area.
The Danville Community Palm Sunday Service will be held Sunday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Danville Congregational UCC, located at 105 East Michigan. Faith Baptist Church will host the service with Rev. Jack Edmisson delivering the message. A special Love Gift offering will support a local Danville need. The service is sponsored by Long Creek Methodist, Danville Methodist, Danville First Baptist, Faith Baptist, and Danville Congregational UCC.
Community members are invited to join the Community Choir, directed by Nancy Edmisson. Practice will be held Sunday, March 22 at 5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Danville, and again at 5:30 p.m. before the service on March 29 at Danville Congregational Church. All are welcome to participate.
The Mount Pleasant High School Drama Department will present Mamma Mia! Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m. Performances will be held at the Heatilator Performing Arts Center in Mount Pleasant. Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door. Come out and enjoy this fun, high-energy musical featuring your local high school talent.
The Mt. Pleasant Community School District is celebrating Youth Art Month with a K-12 Art Exhibit Opening from 12pm – 2pm at Old Main on Central Campus! The MP Culinary Classes are providing refreshments! Gallery Hours to view the exhibit are Monday through Thursday this week from 3pm – 5pm and April 6-9 from 3pm – 5pm.
