The first Mt. Pleasant Community School District Elementary Schools PTA meeting will be held from 7p to 8p at Van Allen Elementary School. Parents, teachers, and staff connected to any of the four MPCSD elementary schools are invited to join the  PTA for the 2026-2027 school year. PTA meetings will continue on the third Tuesday of each month at Van Allen Elementary. All parents, teachers and staff are welcome. The PTA will discuss and plan activities and programs that support Mount Pleasant students and the community.

Henry County Public Health and HCHC are offering a fall prevention class called Stepping On from 1pm – 3pm at the HCHC Health Education Room.  The class is nationally recognized for helping participants learn strategies to reduce falls by increasing strength, balance, and awareness and will continue on Tuesdays through September 29^th.  Call to secure your spot: 319-385-0779.
