Come and enjoy these festivities at the Henry County Fair today!!
- 8:00am – 9:00am- Swine Check-in
- 8:00am – 10:00am Clover kids & Open Class Exhibits Judging- A non-competitive, morning event where youth and community members bring in their static projects to be showcased and celebrated!
- 9:00am – 11:00am Sheep & Goats Check-In- All market sheep and goats must be checked, weighed, and have their scrapie tags or tattoos verified
- 11:00am – 1:00pm Beef Check-In- 4-H and FFA livestock exhibitions.
- 11:00am – 4:00pm LEGO Contest Drop Off- Participants to bring their pre-built, original LEGO creations to the Exhibit Building to be checked in for the competition.
- 2:00pm – 3:00pm Rabbit and Poultry check in- Bring your animals to the Rabbit/Poultry Barn to be officially weighed, inspected for health, and verified against your pre-fair entry records.
- 4:00pm – 6:00pm Farmers Market (WP)- A special community event where local vendors gather at the Henry County Fairgrounds (McMillan Park) to sell farm-fresh produce, baked goods, and handmade craft
- 4:00pm LEGO Contest Judging- The original, hand crafted pieces of creators will be judged at the Exhibit Building.
- 4:30pm Poultry, Calf, Sheep, Goat & Rabbit Costume Contest- A fun, creative event where 4-H, FFA, and Farm Bureau youth dress up their farm animals and compete in the show ring.
- 6:00pm Kids Pedal Pull (Tractor Headquarters)- A fun, non-motorized version of the traditional tractor pull where children ride miniature tractors and tow a weighted sled to see who can pedal the furthest.
- 7:00pm Farm Bureau Animals Check-In- Designated evening on opening day when participants in the 4-H/Farm Bureau Bottle Animal Show officially register and check in their animals.
- 7:30pm State Fair Qualifiers Announced- 4-H and FFA judges publicly reveal which 4-H exhibitors have earned the right to advance and compete with their projects at the Iowa State Fair
- 7:30pm Queen Contest & 4-H Clothing Event (WP)- Local 4-H youth model outfits on stage, leading right into the crowning of the new Fair Queen and her court.
