The Wayland Community Thanksgiving dinner will be held on Thanksgiving Day from 11 am to 1 pm at the WACO Highschool. This will be a traditional Thanksgiving meal.  Take outs are available but there will not be delivery of meals this year. Wayland Ministeries is coordinating this year’s dinner.

The 11th Annual New London Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at Clark Elementary on Thanksgiving Day from 11:30 to 1 pm.  Free delivery is also possible by calling or texting 319-457-0110 by 5 pm tonight.

The Festival of Lights in Mount Pleasant opens tonight for the holiday season.  See the hundreds of displays set up thru out the Old Threshers campgrounds.  Open 5:30 to 9 pm tonight thru the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and then every night in December. New attractions this year include the new Santa House, the Snow Village collection, horse and wagon rides and trolley rides to the Log Village.
