The Henry County Heritage Trust will hold its’ monthly meeting for May at 10 am at the Heritage Center Museum, 403 West Madison Street. The public is invited.

The Mount Pleasant City Compost site is open Wednesdays from 1 pm to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm. The site is located behind Saunders Park at the intersection of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive.

The Mount Pleasant Wednesday Farmers Market is held at Wright Pavilion in McMillan Park from 4 to 6 pm.

The Henry County Conservation Department May board meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. This meeting had to be rescheduled due to no quorum.

The Washington County Extension Office will hold the pre-fair leaders’ meeting for all 4-H and Clover Kid club leaders. Dinner will served at 6 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in Dallmeyer Hall on the fairgrounds.  County fair forms, fair books, fair entry directions, fair tee shirt orders and more will be distributed.  Each club is highly encouraged to have at least one leader present. The IW walking track in Ruble Arena will close permanently to the public May 26.
