November 1 The Mount Pleasant Moose Lodge, at 108 N. Saunders Street, serves tacos every Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm. The Mount Pleasant Christian School is serving tacos and walking tacos from 5 to 6:30 pm. Dine in or carry out.  Call 319-385-8613 for pickup.

November 2 The Iowa Wesleyan University Honors Program is sponsoring a public debate on the Electoral College at 7 pm in the Chapel Auditorium. There will be a panel of three speakers who will present on whether or not the Electoral College should be reformed, retained or abolished.
