From the MP Municipal Utilities Trustees Meeting

At a recent meeting the Mount Pleasant Municipal Utilities Board of Trustees passed a resolution of Appreciation for the many years Dave McCoid has served as the Utilities legal counsel. After 47 years of service Mr.McCoid is stepping aside.  The Trustees voted to retain the legal services of Ahlers & Cooney P.C. Law Firm.

Other notes from the Municipal Utilities meeting….

The Board received an update on the Clay Street water main replacement project. There have been a series of bad breaks over the years due to a bad water main.  Crews are replacing the four inch main with six inch on Clay from Jay to Walnut. Work is expected to be completed during the first half of August.

The Board reviewed Adams Street Substation 15 kV sheltered aisle switchgear replacement project. Bids will be taken and a public hearing will be held in July for this $850,000 project to replace the existing control building.
