Gabe Feldman is Running to Central College

Mt. Pleasant, IA- Gabe Feldman has decided to take his talents to Central College and run both Cross Country and Track and Field for the Dutch next fall. Feldman will be studying to become a history teacher at the conclusion of his collegiate career.

Feldman was part of the Panther 4×800 team that made it to the state championship last year. Additionally, he was awarded the Panther Award for Cross Country his season in the fall. When he was two-years old he was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a lung disease, and saw running as an opportunity to keep himself healthy,

“My parents always told me the way to keep your lungs healthy is just to run, they’re runners my whole family is full of runners and it was just an easy way to get into it and I said I’m too scared to play football might as well do Cross Country and that’s where it got me.”

Feldman is looking to go back to state with his 4×800 team this spring and the big goal for the season is to make it in the open 800-meter run and to simply have fun.
