Gravel Roads and Speeding Don’t Mix: Single Vehicle Accident in Henry County

Deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon on 210th St, a gravel road. According to a report, three men in their 30s were in a vehicle traveling eastbound on 210th Street towards Iowa Avenue at a high rate of speed. They lost control, crossing into the opposite lane of travel before spinning out and ultimately coming to rest in the east bound ditch, facing west. The driver was cited with Failure to Maintain control.

There were no injuries and damage to the vehicle is estimated at $500.

The Mt. Pleasant Police Department, Henry County Health Center, and Mt. Pleasant Fire and Rescue, all assisted at the scene.
