On May 16, 2021, Deputy Sheriff Chad Doak, was appointed as the new Chief Deputy. Chad started as a reserve deputy in 1992, in 1993 he began working as a part-time jailer, earned full-time in 1994, and became a deputy sheriff in 1995. Chad has been an important part of Henry County Sheriff’s Office for nearly 30 years. Chad is a very well-versed Deputy Sheriff, leads by example, conducts himself very well, and treats the public with enthusiasm. Chad has earned this promotion and will become only the 3rd Chief Deputy since 1984. Chad was sworn into the new position by District Court Judge Wyatt Peterson on May 18, 2021.
