Janet M. Stanton, 80, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
Janet was born on April 10, 1946, in Norwich, New York, the daughter of Herbert and Amanda (Pierce) Presnell.
Janet attended New Berlin Central School and throughout her life was someone who knew how to enjoy the moments that mattered most. She lived life to the fullest and especially treasured time spent with her family and friends.
Janet is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Don) Jennings and Kelly McIntyre; sons, Marty (Cynthia Decker) and Mickey Twiss; three sisters; one brother; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom were an important part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Presnell and Bruce Presnell; sister, Nancy Myers; her soulmate, Brent Hoffert; daughter, Tina Haynes; son-in-law, Doug Haynes; and a grandchild, Codie Twiss.
Janet leaves behind family and friends who loved her dearly and countless memories that will continue to bring both smiles and laughter in the years to come. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love she gave and the memories she created will remain in their hearts forever.
Janet’s family will host a celebration of her life at a later date.
