“Light Up the Lake” Family Fun Night Coming to East Lake

MOUNT PLEASANT—  Beautiful East Lake will be the stage for an evening of family fun Saturday April 23. The Mount Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance has activities planned for all ages to enjoy.

“East Lake is such a beautiful attraction for our community, and we’ve been wanting to host something for families to enjoy. We hope everyone will come out for all the activities that will be going on that day”, said Kristi Perry, Executive Vice President of the Mount Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance.

The activities will kick off at 2:00 pm with a Color Run/Walk hosted by Crossfit Teo. Participants will take off from East Lake and head down to Crossfit Teo. By the time they get back to East Lake, they will be covered in beautiful colors. The cost is $30 per couple or $20 per person. T-shirts and Color Bags will be provided. If you are interested in running, register online at www.teomp.com.

At 5:30 pm, it will start to smell really good at East Lake for our Food Truck Festival. We will have 6-8 different food trucks set up in the softball field parking lot at East Lake. Come out and enjoy some delicious BBQ, burgers, tenderloins and of course desserts! You can park in the softball parking lot, grab your food and head down to the lake with your family and friends.

Once dark arrives around 8:00 pm, head over the Hayward Shelter where we will have a 21’ inflatable screen set up for an outdoor movie. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and we’ll bring the popcorn! We’re not announcing the movie just yet, but it will be family friendly.

This event is organized by the Mount Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce and made possible by our Platinum Sponsor KILJ Radio, Family Medicine of Mount Pleasant, Community 1st Credit Union, Innovairre and Staats.
