Linda Joyce Hubbartt 68 of Keosauqua died at 7:15 pm Wednesday September 22, 2021 at her home in Keosauqua. In accordance with her wishes her body has been cremated and a gathering in Linda’s honor for family and friends will be held at a later date. Memorials to the American Cancer Society may be mailed to the family at P.O. Box 582, Keosauqua, IA 52565.
Linda was born on October 31, 1952 to Roger LeRoy and Lelah Mae John Fry in Davis County. She grew up in Davis County on the family farm and graduated from Davis County High School. Linda loved the outdoors from a very young age including moving small square bales on the farm. She was also an avid fisherman that started as a child fishing with her dad and continued when she met her husband, Don. There was not a fish that was safe when she was around. Linda and Don were married on May 31, 1970 at the Dunnville Baptist Church near Bloomfield. Linda continued her love for the outdoors by camping and fishing with her husband and two children with many adventures at the river and Lake Rathbun. Linda was a homemaker, an excellent gardener, enjoyed doing crafts, reading books and baking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. On December 1, 2005 Linda was granted an extension of her life after several years of dialysis through the donation and successful transplant of a kidney from her sister, Phillis Dahl.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Don Hubbartt of Keosauqua, a daughter, Jennifer Burton (Shane) of Ottumwa, a son, Jason Hubbartt (Racheal) of Bloomfield, a sister, Phillis Dahl of Ottumwa, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Don Dahl.
