Arrest Made Following Investigation into Suspicious Activity

In late August and September of 2021, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office took reports of suspicious activity in the 1900 and 2000 block of West Courtland Street in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

On September 22, 2021, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report of stolen tires and catalytic converters from a vehicle in the 1900 block of West Courtland Street in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

Upon investigation, at approximately 6:25PM on September 22, 2021, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 400 block of East Green Street in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

As a result of the investigation, Salvatore Middono Jr., 33 of Mount Pleasant, was arrested and charged with Possession of Stolen Property/Theft 3rd (aggravated misdemeanor); Ongoing Criminal Conduct (class B felony); Drug tax stamp violation (class D felony); Keeping Premise for Controlled Substance possessing/usage (aggravated misdemeanor); Hemp inhalation violation (serious misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor).
