Major League Baseball: Dodgers Outlast Cardinals, Advance to NLDS

Los Angeles — Chris Taylor hit a two-out, two-run walkoff home run to propel the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 3-1 Wild Card win over the St. Louis Cardinals last night.

The Cardinals put the go-ahead run on base in five straight innings but could not cash in ahead of Taylor’s blast.

The Dodgers advance to battle division rival San Francisco in the NLDS, the first time the two teams will meet in the postseason.

Game One is set for tomorrow night, with first pitch from the Bay Area set for 8:37 p.m.
