Mount Pleasant Man Arrested After Altercation with Officer

Mount Pleasant — A Mount Pleasant man is under arrest after breaking his probation warrant.

According to the Mount Pleasant Police Department, 31-year-old David Hudnall was arrested after providing a fake name to an officer after the officer was called for a theft report.

Hudnall struck the officer in the face at the scene, which resulted in injuries and medical treatment.

He continued to resist and fought with the officer while trying to get away and was eventually restrained.

Hudnall was charged with Assault on a Peace Officer, Carrying Weapons, Interference with Official Acts — all aggravated misdemeanors and Possession of Meth, 3rd or subsequent, a Class D Felony.

Hudnall was transported to the Henry County Jail where is being held pending arraignment.
