The Mt. Pleasant High School Panther Marching Band received their 35th consecutive top Division I rating Saturday at state contest in Muscatine. The band performed in the State Marching Band Festival. Monday at 7 pm will be the marching band’s final performance of the year during All Bands Night at Mapleleaf Athletic Complex. It will also be the final marching band performance under the direction of long-time director Jim DePriest.
Ft. Madison, Keokuk, Mediapolis and Wapello High School Bands also received Division I ratings at the State Contest. Central Lee and West Burlington received Division II ratings.
