Thursday morning Mount Pleasant Police were called to the Post Office on Jefferson Street. Cristal Bain was operating a pickup truck. According to the police report Bain stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake. This caused the truck to hit the front step area of the Post Office. Bain was not injured but the truck was totaled and there was about $10,000 damage to the Post Office.
