Prep Track: Brumbaugh, Panthers Shine at Pella Invite

Brumbaugh’s winning toss of 44 feet, 10.75 inches was over 10 inches further than West Burlington-Notre Dame’s Elise Olesen.

Finishing second for Mount Pleasant was senior sprinter Kenna Lamm, earning runner-up honors in the 60m hurdles, running 10.08. Lamm was also sixth in the 200m dash, finishing in 27.76.

On the boys’ side of things, Avin Truong continued his great start to the season, earning a win in the long jump, with a leap of 6.37 meters.

Will Davidson finished second in the 60m hurdles, blazing to a time of 8.77.

Sophomore Nate Stroud was second in the high jump, clearing 5-10.

Central recruit Nathan McWilliams was 10th in the 800m run, he completed his two-lap race in 2:22.48.

The Danville boys’ also had a strong performance, earning wins from Ty Carr and AJ Bonnesen.

Carr won the 400m dahs, while Bonnesen claimed gold in the mile.
