Washington beat Mount Pleasant in nine of 14 matches, as the Panthers were beaten 51-25 on Senior Night at Panther Gymnasium.
Bowen Davis earned a pin for the Panthers, while Carson Coleman took home a 9-1 major decision victory.
William Birdsell posted an 8-3 decision over Teegan Sulentich, as well.
Two Panthers received forfeit wins.
WACO Picks Up Four Dual Wins
Jonah Clark earned four individual wins for WACO as the Warriors cruised to a quartet of dual victories yesterday in Packwood.
WACO took down Columbus-WMU, Van Buren County, Pekin and Cardinal.
Columbus-WMU went 3-1 — their lone loss to WACO.
Gage Samo also starred for the Warriors — Samo picked up a major decision and three forfeit wins.
Columbus-WMU saw top-ranked Lane Scorpil go 4-0. Scorpil picked up three falls and a forfeit.
Triston Miller completed that same feat, as well.
Mediapolis Goes 1-1 at Riverside
Mediapolis beat Highland but lost to Wapello at Highland’s home triangular last night.
Quinten Aney, a medalist from last year’s state meet, won both of his matches by fall.
Wapello had seven wrestlers that posted a 2-0 record led by Codder Malcom and Carter Ball who both earned two fall victories.
No. 2 ND-WB-Danville Picks Up Two Dual Wins
Second-ranked Notre Dame-West Burlington-Danville sent a statement through southeast Iowa yesterday, rolling to dual wins over Louisa-Muscatine and New London.
The Tigers and Nikes split the two biggest bouts of the night, with Dominic Lopez earning a third period fall over Notre Dame’s Isaiah Fenton.
Second-ranked C.J. Walrath took down New London’s Josh Glendening 5-0 in the second clash of titans.
New London beat Louisa-Muscatine 47-18 in the Tigers’ other scrap.
The Nikes improved to 15-0 overall in dual action.
New London fell to 2-10, while Louisa-Muscatine is now 2-5.
