SEISO RETURNS WITH SYMPHONIC BLAST CONCERT AND FIREWORKS

In their first concert in eighteen months, the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra presents their
Symphonic Blast! concert under the direction of Musical Director Robert McConnell. The concert
will take place at the bandshell in Crapo Park on Saturday, July 10th at 8:00 PM. Bring your lawn
chairs, beverages and bug spray to enjoy the light classical music and amazing fireworks on the bluff
of the Mississippi River.
SEISO will present music from Star Wars, Broadway medleys, Dances with Wolves, Stars and Stripes,
and the 1812 Overture among others. Also featured will be 2020 Marilyn Minford McCoid Young
Artist Competition winner, violinist and Burlington native Subrahmanyam Mullangi in addition to
beautiful Carpenters’ arrangements for vocal soloist and orchestra.
In case of rain the concert will be held at the Iowa Wesleyan Chapel auditorium in Mt. Pleasant at 8:00
