Semi Collision in Lee County

What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? A deputy with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office found that out firsthand on Tuesday, when he was dispatched to a report of a 2 semi accident at 10:13am.

Upon arrival at 3329 Argyle Road on October 24th, the deputy observed a semi-truck and trailer hauling corn with front end damage. It appeared that the second semi-truck and trailer was pulling out of the driveway. There was right side damage to the second truck.

The driver of the second trailer admitted that he had looked while exiting the driveway but failed to see the other semi-truck.

Neither driver reported injuries and the airbags did not deploy.

Both semis did suffer disabling damage and were privately towed from the scene.
