The most likely timing for the strongest storms is between 11 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday, when many people will be sleeping. Officials encourage you to have multiple ways to receive weather alerts overnight, including weather radios or cell phone notifications.
Heavy rain and lightning may also accompany the storms, and gusty winds could lead to downed tree limbs or power outages in some areas.
