The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is working with local law enforcement officials for the drive sober or get pulled over high visibility law enforcement campaign. The campaign started yesterday and runs through Labor Day weekend.
The goal is to deter impaired driving, arrest impaired drivers detected on the roads and prevent the tragedies seen in previous Labor Day weekends.
Drivers can ensure safety for themselves, passengers and other motorists by planning for a sober driver.
