Baseball

This afternoon the undefeated tigers will meet Kee on the Eddyville Blakesburg Fremont field at 2 p.m. Kee has a record of 11 and 1.

Our very own Mount Pleasant Panthers according to Varsity Bound, 4th in current Southeast Iowa Standings with a conference record of 1 to 1 behind Burlington, Fort Madison, and Fairfield.

 

Softball

Holy Trinity saw a win over New London last night against New London on their home field 11-5. This brings Holy Trinity’s record to 3-1 and New London’s to O and 5.

Tomorrow the New London Tigers head to BGM facing Nevada at 10:45 and BGM at 12:30.

Last night the Mount Pleasant Panthers saw a loss of 1-13 to Washington in the first game of the night. Myah Starr pitched 2 and 1/3 innings, 11 runs 4 earned on 4 hits. In hitting Bethany Drury 2 for 2 with a double and a stolen base. Kynlee White 1 for 1 with 2 stolen bases.

In the second game the Panthers scored 6 runs against the Demons’ 18. Ella McNamee pitched for 2 innings, 18 runs 11 earned on 13 hits. In hitting Bethany Drury 1 for 2 with a triple, Saige Burchett 2 for 2 with a stolen base, and Jersey Beachy 2 for 2. Coach Michael Beason says, “Need to be more consistent in every phase of the game, saw flashes at times. Proud of the effort and fight given by the team.”

Winfield Mount Union faces Columbus in Winfield tonight at 7 p.m.
