Boys’ Prep Basketball: Mount Pleasant Falters Late in Road Loss
Mount Pleasant led 7-5 after one quarter but saw Burlington rally in the second half, outscoring the Panthers 36-26 to pick up a 57-43 last night over Eric Rawson’s group.
Merquiche Lewis was the key cog for the Grayhounds, finishing with a game-high 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting.
Jackson Carlson added 12 points while Amarion Davis finished with nine.
Mount Pleasant was led by Payton Hagans and his 14 points — Owen Vansickel had 10.
The win kept conference title hopes alive for Burlington, as they improved to 12-7 and 7-2 in league play.
Mount Pleasant fell to 8-10 and 3-6 in Southeast Conference play.
Boys’ Prep Basketball: Boys’ Shootout Games Tonight
The Super Conference will will play their Shootout Games tonight, with the conference title being played for in New London.

Prep Wrestling: Sectionals Begin Today
Today marks the beginning of the wrestling state tournament trail with sectionals being wrestled statewide in Class 1 and 2A.
In Class 1A, area wrestlers will compete at English Valleys and Sigourney while Class 2A area programs will wrestle at Benton Community and Solon.
