Three People Arrested Following Disturbance Outside Salem

Three people were arrested following an early-morning disturbance outside Salem.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office received an E911 call shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday from a residence in the 1700 grid of 295th Street. The caller requested that someone be removed from the home.

Deputies determined that an argument between two people had escalated into a domestic assault with injuries. Investigators identified both individuals as physical aggressors at different points during the incident.

Steven Klein, 34, of Salem, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault, a simple misdemeanor.

Alicia Klein, 42, of Salem, was charged with second-offense domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury, an aggravated misdemeanor.

During the investigation, deputies also arrested Jeffery Lohmeyer, 64, of Salem, on an active warrant for failure to serve mittimus.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
