Tyler Lovan, 31, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant surrounded by his family.
Tyler was born on April 27, 1991, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Hoa and Kim (Bac thi) Lovan. He enjoyed music, watching Disney movies, laughing and spending time with his family. Tyler was a great listener and would light up the room with his infectious smile.
He is survived by his parents, Hoa and Kim Lovan of Mt. Pleasant, his brothers and sister, Phuc Lovan of Iowa City, Destin Lovan of Mt. Pleasant and Linh Lovan of Des Moines. His grandmother Un Luong of Pella and his aunt, Thu Tauke of Pella along with two nephews, Coen Prevett and Nico Heckroth.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Tyler’s family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service and burial will be at a later date in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery rural Mt. Pleasant. The family will have friends and family after funeral services at their home.
