The Washington County Fair has announced results from the 2026 Market Beef Show.
In the Returning Bucket Bottle Market Steer division, Tessa Bombei earned Champion honors, while Kaelyn Johnson was named Reserve Champion. In the Returning Bucket Bottle Market Heifer division, Taya Bombei was named Champion and also earned fifth overall carcass heifer honors. Kahlan Eldridge was named Champion Returning Bucket Bottle Market Heifer.
In the Produce Market Steer division, Ethan Hotchkiss earned Champion honors, while Brock Thomann was named Reserve Champion. Blake Sheetz finished third and earned fifth overall carcass steer honors.
The Market Heifer division saw Kohen Gerot named Champion Market Heifer and fourth overall Market Beef. Brock Thomann earned Reserve Champion Market Heifer honors and was named Champion Senior Beef Showman. James Montz was Reserve Champion Carcass Heifer.
In the Purebred Steer division, several exhibitors earned breed champion honors. Preston Ford showed the Champion Angus Steer, with Tate Stumpf earning Reserve Champion Angus Steer honors. Tate Sheetz exhibited the Champion Red Angus Steer, while Clayton Bartholomew was Reserve Champion Red Angus Steer and Reserve Champion Carcass Steer.
Other purebred breed champions included Brooklyn Schneider with the Champion Shorthorn Steer, Tucker Janecek with the Champion Simmental Steer, Greenley Gerot with the Champion Charolais Steer, Ryker Gerot with the Champion Maine-Anjou Steer, Hunter Seibel with the Reserve Champion Chianina Steer, and Parker Shalla with the Champion Chianina Steer.
Additional honors included Long Kenadie, who earned Reserve Champion Shorthorn Steer and Reserve Champion Senior Beef Showmanship; Auben Sweeting, Reserve Champion Maine-Anjou Steer; and Brock Thomann, Reserve Champion Charolais Steer.
In the All Other Breed Steer division, Ellyana Hahn earned Champion All Other Breeds Steer and Champion Shorthorn Plus Steer honors. Adrianne Blauvelt was named Champion Limousin Steer and Reserve Champion All Other Breeds Steer, while Lillian Boller earned Reserve Champion Shorthorn Plus Steer.
For the Single Source Steer division sponsored by the Washington County Cattlemen, Mason Schneider was named Champion Single Source Steer. Callie Koch earned Reserve Champion honors and was also named Reserve Champion Junior Beef Showman.
The Crossbred Steer division featured several top honors. Parker Shalla earned Grand Champion Market Beef and Champion Division II Crossbred Steer. Greenley Gerot was named Reserve Grand Champion Market Beef and Champion Intermediate Beef Showman. Kellyn Gerot earned Champion Division III Crossbred Steer and third overall Market Beef honors.
Other crossbred division champions included Libby Sojka, Champion Division I Crossbred Steer; Covert Greiner, Reserve Champion Division I Crossbred Steer and Beef Top Stockman; and Aspen Sieren, Reserve Champion Division III Crossbred Steer.
Additional overall carcass honors included Tate Stumpf, third overall carcass steer; Kenadie Long, eighth overall carcass steer; Madelyn Sieren, ninth overall carcass steer; and Brock Thomann, fifth overall carcass heifer.
