Triple A Weekly Fuel Report

Gasoline prices are on the move in Iowa according to AAA . The average price of regular unleaded across the state fell 9 cents from last week, now sitting at $2.45 per gallon—57 cents cheaper than a year ago. The national average is slightly higher at $2.92. Diesel prices also dipped 5 cents this week, averaging $3.40 in Iowa, well below the national average of $3.67.

On the crude oil market, West Texas Intermediate fell $3.69 per barrel to $61.60, while Brent crude dropped $2.48 to $67.72.

Heating fuels are also seeing changes. Natural gas prices fell 19 cents to $2.96 per million BTUs, propane averages $1.63 per gallon, and home heating oil is at $2.94 per gallon statewide.
