A Burlington man has been sentenced to 35 years in federal prison following his conviction on two counts of attempted enticement of a minor and an offense committed by a registered sex offender.
Jermaine Robert Hill, age 39, was sentenced Wednesday, August 26.
Federal court records show Hill communicated through Facebook Messenger in June 2025 with two undercover officers posing as 14-year-old girls. Hill sent sexually explicit messages and material before arranging to meet them at a Burlington park, where he was arrested.
Hill was required to register as a sex offender because of a 2015 conviction in Ohio.
A federal jury found Hill guilty following a two-day trial in March 2026.
After completing his prison sentence, Hill must serve 10 years of supervised release. The federal prison system does not offer parole.
