Mount Pleasant Police have released the details of a pursuit that began in Mount Pleasant and ended near Lockridge. The incident began Thursday afternoon at about 3:45 when an officer attempted to stop a vehicle on North Grand Avenue. The vehicle took off and headed west from Mt. Pleasant. The driver lost control on Hwy 34 at the Lockridge turn-off. The two individuals in the vehicle ran from the scene but were eventually taken into custody and transported to the Henry County Jail. They were identified as Dylan Dekraai and Sydney Malonee both of Ottumwa. Dylan was charged with fraudulent us of a registration, driving while barred, eluding, possession of a controlled substance and interference with official acts. There were also other warrants out for his arrest. Sydney was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
