No. 10 New London 10, No. 5 Don Bosco 2 (Suspended/4)
New London scored in every inning but the 3rd as they jumped out to a 10-2 lead over the fifth-ranked Don Bosco Dons in Norway yesterday, before lightning and rain washed the contest.
Because the game did not make it to the bottom of the 5th, the game is deemed no contest.
Cael Frost led the ballgame off with a solo home run for Don Bosco, but New London scored 10 of the game’s next 11 runs to pull ahead by eight runs.
Kooper Schulte had three hits, while Tucker Gibbar and Josh Catala had two hits apiece.
Hecniel Rodriguez got the start for New London, who, had the game finished, would have improved to 16-0.
As it stands, New London remains 15-0.
Notre Dame 5, Danville 2
Brady Oleson had a three-hit night as Notre Dame took down Danville 5-2 last night in Danville.
Oleson tallied five total bases with two doubles and a single on his ledger. He also scored two runs and drove in one.
Hunter Shipley earned the win for the Nikes. He tossed a complete game six-hitter, yielding just the two runs while punching out four.
Sawyer Nelson took the loss.
He walked five and allowed four earned runs over 6.1 innings.
