“We don’t really put expectations [on them]. It is to come show up, try and have fun. You know, the whole idea of this is to have fun, I mean, don’t get me wrong some kids like football more than others just like some kids like basketball more than others. Come give it effort and try to have some fun playing football and if you have fun, we’ll have success. You know if you’re drudging through practice and and just sort of going through the motions and trying to get to the next day. You don’t learn, you don’t get better. You don’t improve, you know, if we can as coaches if we can, you know, keep it and I don’t want to say entertaining to them, but keep it fun and keep it to the point where they’re they’re wanting to be there and wanting to learn and we can keep getting better the more reps we get the better we’ll get it’s just a matter of keeping the kids focused and and getting things done for the season.”
