The Mount Pleasant Community School District Board of Directors will meet Monday evening for a regular board session in Mount Pleasant.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on June 8th in the Media Center at Mount Pleasant Community High School.
According to the agenda, the board will begin with a call to order, roll call, and approval of the meeting agenda, followed by a citizen comment period and routine approvals including minutes, claims, and financial reports.
District leaders are also expected to provide updates during the superintendent’s report, including planning for upcoming training events, review of student handbooks, and discussion of the summer meeting schedule. That schedule includes no work session in June, a board meeting set for July 13th, and additional meetings and committee sessions in August.
Board members will also hear reports from finance and policy committees.
Under new business, the board is set to consider several action items, including approval of fiscal year 2027 insurance coverage, milk and bread bids, upgrades to playground equipment at Van Allen Elementary, and updates to school board policy related to non-instructional and business services. The board will also consider a contract involving special education funding transfers through GPAEA (Great Prairie Area Education Agency).
The meeting will conclude with adjournment after all agenda items are addressed.
