Daily Jail Count

In the interest of keeping Henry County residents informed, the Henry County Sheriff’s office has requested KILJ post the daily jail count. During the jail referendum campaign it was publicized that the jail would be able to house additional inmates from surrounding counties and this would generate revenue for Henry County.

Annamarie Fracaro

Annamarie Fracaro, 58, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, October 10, 2021 at her residence.

A private celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers for the service, Annamarie’s family requests that any floral donations be made to nursing homes and assisted living facilities in her honor.

The Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Online condolences may be directed to www.kimzeyfuneralhome.com.

Annamarie was born October 7, 1963 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of James Everett and Pauline Sierrasue (Craig) Gross. She grew up with 3 brothers and sisters and many cousins. On February 13, 1989 in Dallas, TX, Annamarie married Richard Allen “Rick” Fracaro. The couple made their home in Dallas before moving to Mt. Pleasant.

She worked for years as a CNA before achieving her dream of becoming a nurse, a goal she achieved in 2013. Annamarie was passionate about elder care and spent her days caring for others and bringing joy and light to their lives.

Annamarie was a mother to 4 and grandmother to 10. Her children knew her for her comfort and blunt but loving honesty. Her grandchildren loved her and always knew Grandma for her big laugh and hidden snacks. Annamarie will be well remembered for the love and laughter she brought to a room. She had a big personality that could capture an audience. She had a big heart that was always ready with open arms for anyone who needed help.

Annamarie is survived by her husband Rick of Mt. Pleasant – her soulmate to whom she was married for 31 years; her 4 children – Charles Weisenstein of Mt. Pleasant; Carl (Janessa) Weiss of Chattanooga, TN; Cassandra (David) Heitmann of Burlington, IA and Sierra Fracaro of New London; 2 brothers – Jim (Pat) Gross of Summit, MS and Randy (Kay) Gross of Mt. Pleasant and 10 grandchildren – Kameron, Mikayla, Ayden, Jackson, Alexia, Elanor, Brylee, Sebastian, Madisyn and Vincent.

Her parents and her sister (who was also her best friend), Sandra Pinson, precede Annamarie in death.
